The Guggenheim Bilbao opens today the exhibit titled "David Salle", on view until May 7, 2000. David Salle is one of the most important American painters to enter the scene in the early 80s. His work played an influential part in the resurgence at that time of large-scale figurative painting. Salle, like many artists of his generation, has accumulated a rich visual vocabulary inspired by countless images.
