Chevy Silverado

It's been a while since we've driven any pickup that turned heads like a whip, but the all-new Silverado had chiropractors in high demand as we drove our Extreme Green Silverado 1/2-ton around town. Our '99 regular-cab came in the sportiest package imaginable: shortbed, Sportside, and Z/71 Off-Road package. We're longtime fans of the Z/71 setup ourselves, and Chevy fans and trail hounds will be glad to know the package has been specially designed to give the new Silverado more capability and protection. Monotube shocks, extra skidplating, standard 3.73:1 gears, a limited-slip, decals, and the biggest tire size available all add up to make the package one of the best four-wheel drive option deals around.
